Voters brave drizzle to cast ballots in Negri Sembilan state election

SEREMBAN: Amidst a gentle drizzle, voters here made their way to polling centres to cast their ballots for the Negri Sembilan state election.

At SJK (C) Sin Hua, the designated polling centre for the Mambau state seat, inclement weather failed to deter citizens from fulfilling their civic duty to select their representatives for the state.

To support senior citizens and people with disabilities, two shuttle cars were on standby to assist their access to the premises.

About 4km from this location, caretaker Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun was among the many individuals who cast their ballots at Sekolah Menengah Dato Haji Mohd Redza.

The state Pakatan Harapan chairman, who is defending his Sikamat seat, arrived at the premises at 8.50am.

Prior to this, Aminuddin had accompanied his wife Datuk Seri Wan Hasni Wan Yusof to cast her ballots at SMK Datuk Ahmad Sheikh Ahmad.

Meanwhile, Defence Minister and Umno deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan, alongside his wife Datin Seri Raja Salbiah Tengku Nujumudin, exercised their franchise at SKJ (C) Chung Hua in Pekan Rantau, located nearby.

A total of 36 seats are up for contention in the Negri Sembilan polls.
