KUALA LUMPUR: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah have expressed their condolences to the family of those who perished in the aircraft crash in Elmina, Shah Alam earlier today.
They also voiced their sorrow over the death of Datuk Seri Johari Harun along with the nine other victims.
The other passengers were Kharil Azwan Jamaludin, Shaharul Amir Omar, Mohamad Naim Fawwaz Mohamed Muaidi, Muhammad Taufiq Mohd Zaki and Idris Abdol Talib @ Ramali.
Apart from the passengers, those who perished included a motorcyclist as well as a motorist who were hit by the aircraft.
The plane, which was bound for Subang from Langkawi, was manned by Captain Shahrul Kamal Roslan, 41 who was assisted by Heikal Aras Abdul Azim,48.
"Their Majesties both express their sadness at the sudden passing of Johari and the other nine victims and hope that their families would be patient and persevere in the face of this tragedy.
"They pray that their souls be showered with mercy by Allah and placed among those the believers and the righteous," read a statement by Istana Negara.
Al-Sultan Abdullah and Tunku Azizah also recorded their appreciation to Johari for his contributions to Pahang, especially in championing the rural communities.
Johari was also a close friend of Al-Sultan Abdullah and his family.
"His passing is a great loss to the state of Pahang Darul Makmur and also to His Majesty," they said.
Johari was a state assemblyman for Pelangai. He was also the state Local Government, Housing, Environment and Green Technology exco chairman.
