SHAH ALAM: Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain said among the victims of the plane crash on the Guthrie Highway near Bandar Elmina, in Shah Alam, earlier this afternoon, only the body of the motorcyclist was found intact.
He said there were no survivors in the crash involving the Beechcraft Model 390 (Premier 1) aircraft which claimed 10 lives, eight of whom were on board the aircraft and two road users.
"Only one victim was found full body, the motorcyclist, who has been identified and his family members have been contacted for the DNA verification process.
"Meanwhile, the identity of the car driver has not been identified, or whether he was a Grab (e-hailing) driver carrying passengers," he told a press conference at the scene.
According to Razarudin, there are certain processes that police will implement before the bodies can be moved out of the area.
"When we find the bodies, we perform ante mortem examination. We check the body and look at the victim's watch, only after that do we take the body out," he said.
Earlier, Transport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook said Pelangai state assemblyman Datuk Seri Johari Harun was among those listed in the manifest of the ill-fated plane.
Also listed were the pilots, Shahrul Kamal Roslan and Heikal Aras Abdul Azim, as well as five other passengers namely Kharil Azwan Jamaludin, Shaharul Amir Omar, Mohd Naim Fawwaz Mohamed Muaidi, Muhammad Taufiq Mohd Zaki and Idris Abdol Talib.
However, Loke said the identity of the two road users would be confirmed through police investigations. – Bernama
