Explain DAP logo on school donation cheques, Umno Youth chief to Nga [NSTTV]

KUALA LUMPUR: Umno Youth chief Dr Muhammad Akmal Saleh is demanding an explanation over the presence of DAP's logo on mock cheques for donations made out to several schools in Ipoh, Perak.

Photos of the donation presentation posted on social media showed mock cheques bearing the DAP logo alongside logos of Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Malaysia Madani as well as Malaysia's coat of arms.

Dr Akmal, in his Facebook post, called on Local Government Development Minister Nga Kor Ming to explain the reason for this.

"We want an explanation from Nga. Is this a donation from the government?

"And if it's from the government, what is the rationale behind placing the DAP logo on the mock cheque? Don't act stupid now that you've become a minister!," he posted.

It was reported that Nga, who is also Perak DAP chairman, had presented the donation to 17 primary and secondary schools in the state following the approval of a RM1.8 million allocation by the Education Ministry for upgrading and repair works.

The New Straits Times has since reached out to Nga to comment on the matter.
