KUALA LUMPUR: A single border agency to be set up, with an allocation of RM20 million for maintenance, repair works and procurements of assets at the country's entry points.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the government would procure new assets to strengthen the country's defence and security preparedness.
Under the 2024 budget, he said the Defence Ministry would receive an allocation of RM19.7 billion, a RM2 billion increase from this year.
"Meanwhile, RM19 billion will be allocated to the Home Ministry, an increase of RM500 million compared with this year," he told Dewan Rakyat during today's tabling of the 2024 Budget.
