KOTA BARU: Kelantan's Aman Palestin successfully raised RM500,000 in a two-month fundraising campaign that began in September.
State Aman Palestin branch manager Mohd Salmi Mohamed said the contributions came from a range of sources, including individuals and non-governmental organisations.
He noted that the primary goal of the fundraising drive was to aid the Palestinian people who have been affected by the ongoing Palestine-Israel conflicts.
"In September, we initially collected about RM250,000, and contributions continued to pour in, culminating in a total of RM500,000 last month.
"This underscores the deep concern of the people in Kelantan for the hardships faced by the Palestinians," he told reporters this after receiving a donation of RM3,811 from the state Veterinary Department here today.
Mohd Salmi also revealed that the funds raised by Aman Palestin would soon be dispatched to its headquarters and be used to purchase essential items, including food, for the Palestinians.
