Kapar air crash: Navin remembers Roshaan - one of 'The Three Musketeers' of Woodlands Primary School

JOHOR BARU: Roshaan Singh Raina's silence in the Primary School United chat group, after sending a message in the morning of the fateful day stating that he would be doing his first solo flight, has stirred uneasiness among his friends.

One of Roshaan's friends, known as Navin, shared via Facebook posts that he had messaged Roshaan at 2.30pm, inquiring about how things were, but received no response.

"Before going to bed at 1am, I felt uneasy and decided to do a Google search for 'plane crash'.

"I don't know why I did that. I was speechless when I came across news articles about the incident. I'm shocked, angry, and in disbelief. I can't find the right words," he said.

Roshaan, 42, was one of the two individuals killed when the light aircraft they were in crashed at Kampung Tok Muda, Kapar on Tuesday.

The other individual was identified as pilot Daniel Yee Hsiang Khoon, 30.

Navin also shared that Roshaan was his classmate and friend during their time in primary school.

He said Roshaan and another friend, Rajiv, were known as the "Three Musketeers of Woodlands Primary School Singapore".

"We met again a few months ago after many years, and it was an emotional reunion, sharing pictures, stories, and experiences," Navin said.

He added that they had made plans to meet again in March, taking their bicycles to places they used to hang out, including Block 162 in Woodlands where he used to stay.

"I will miss you (Roshaan)," he expressed through his Facebook account.

Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan, in a press conference on Tuesday, stated that the 1,300kg aircraft plunged and buried more than two-metre deep upon contact with the ground.
