JOHOR BARU: Yayasan Johor Corporation unveiled its first drive-through recycling hub at B5 Street Market near Tampoi recently, in a move to foster more organised and systematic solid waste recycling activities within the local community, Media Digital Johor reported.
This initiative, realised in collaboration with the Johor Baru City Council and SWM Environment Sdn Bhd, was launched by mayor Datuk Mohd Noorazam Osman.
The foundation's chairman Rozaini Mohd Sani said the recycling hub, divided into four sections: plastics, paper, e-waste (electrical and electronic waste) and others, also offered reward points as an incentive.
These reward points can be redeemed to encourage the practice of recycling by separating recyclable waste and fostering sustainable solid waste management and environmental practices in daily community life.
