PENANG: The Penang Chap Goh Meh Festival is gearing up to be a spectacular event at the Esplanade.
From 5pm to 11pm tomorrow, locals and visitors alike are invited to immerse themselves in the festive spirit as the 15th day of the lunar calendar is observed with a series of fun events.
The Esplanade, also known as Padang Kota Lama, will come alive with a bustling Food Street, art and craft activities, and an array of performances that showcase Penang's rich cultural mosaic.
The evening kicks off with an Orange Tossing Ceremony, a traditional gesture of good fortune and prosperity.
As the night unfolds, attendees will be treated to a mesmerising multicultural drums performance, a Chinese orchestra, and an acrobatic lion dance on stilts that promises to defy gravity and expectations.
The air will also be filled with dynamic live music by WIN_Production and a fiery spectacle of fire juggling by Koispinn.
The festivity will continue with an LED dragon dance and a heartwarming Dondang Sayang Performance, a reflection of Malay artistry.
