SIMUNJAN: The enhancement works on the village farm road in Kampung Emplas, carried out by the Samarahan Integrated Regional Development Agency (IRSDA), have been fully completed, the Sarawak Public Communications Unit reported.
The completion site handover was conducted by the contractor to the Kampung Emplas village chief Brandah Liben on March 6. The ceremony was witnessed by Simunjan assemblyman Rafendy Ariffen and other relevant agencies.
Rafendy said the project, which involved a 400-metre-long and four-metre-wide road, cost RM228,928.10, including the installation of four culverts.
He said the implementation of the project is expected to enhance agricultural activities in the area, thereby improving the socio-economic status of the local residents.
The project, under the supervision of the Samarahan's Department of Irrigation and Drainage, commenced on Oct 24 last year, and was fully completed on Feb 24 last month.
