Jovian Mandagie Group to close its fashion business

KUALA LUMPUR: Jovian Mandagie Group will close its high-profile fashion operations in the next two weeks after being in business for 17 years.

Its founder, Datuk Jovian Mandagie made the announcement through a video on Instagram yesterday.

"Throughout these years, we have launched numerous clothing collections and have been worn by millions of buyers in Malaysia.

"However, as time goes by, I realise that I am ready for change, to explore things that truly drive me.

"The fashion industry has evolved, and so have I, transitioning from a fashion designer to a business person.

"Considering these factors, we have decided to temporarily close operations," he said.

Founded in 2007 by Jovian, Jovian Apparel has revolutionised Malaysia's fashion landscape with its array of clothing, accessories, modest fashion and lifestyle goods.

The Jovian Mandagie brand had several retail outlets in Shah Alam, Bangi, Berjaya Times Square, IOI Putrajaya, Pavilion Elite Kuala Lumpur, and Melawati Mall.

It also has two pop-up concept stores in Suria KLCC Shopping Centre and SOGO.
