KUALA LUMPUR: The two policemen who died in an attack on the Ulu Tiram police station had been serving with the force for less than two years.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain expressed his sympathies for the passing of two officers who were killed in the attack this morning.

Through a Facebook post, Razarudin, his deputy, Deputy Inspector General of Police Datuk Seri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay and the rest of the force expressed their condolences to the family members of both Constable Ahmad Azza Fahmi Azhar and Constable Muhamad Shafiq Ahmad Said.

The constables were members of the crime prevention patrol at the police station in Johor Bahru and had only been serving with the force less than two years.

"May both of their souls be blessed with His mercy and placed among the righteous and pious," read the post.
