Customs confirms arrest of three officers by MACC

KUALA LUMPUR: The Royal Malaysian Customs Department has confirmed the arrest of three of its officers by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).

In line with this, it reiterates its clear and firm stance that it will not compromise or protect any officers involved in misconduct and breaches of integrity, including corruption.

"We will fully cooperate with the MACC to conduct further investigations. Any action against the involved officers and personnel will be determined based on the results of the MACC's investigation," it said in a statement.

"At the same time we will continuously take proactive measures to curb corruption and leakage activities at the country's entry and exit points."
