Dewan Rakyat speaker to deliver keynote speech at Tripartite Forum in Brunei

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia will be represented by Dewan Rakyat speaker Tan Sri Johari Abdul at the Tripartite Forum on Boosting Asean's Digital Economy in Brunei.

The forum, happening alongside the 15th Asean Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) Caucus Meeting from June 11 to 12, aims to strategise cyber resilience and shared prosperity in the region.

Johari will deliver a keynote speech on advancing Asean's digital landscape, impacting the lives of over 400 million digital users.

He will also meet with AIPA's secretary general to discuss Malaysia's readiness to host AIPA in 2025.

The forum, co-hosted by AIPA, Asean Business Advisory Council of Brunei, Apec Business Advisory Council of Brunei, with support from Brunei's National Assembly and the Economic Research Institute for Asean and East Asia (ERIA), will gather AIPA member countries' representatives to review resolutions from the previous AIPA General Assembly.

These resolutions aim to accelerate Asean's digital economy by 2025 and bolster the Digital Economy Framework Agreement Asean (DEFA).
