KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim took time off his busy schedule today to visit Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail at the National Heart Institute (IJN).
"Alhamdulillah, he is getting better after surgery and is now being monitored closely by specialists at (IJN)," the prime minister said in a Facebook posting.
Anwar said he also visited Tengku Datuk Muhammad Sultan Abu Bakar, the uncle of the Sultan of Pahang, as well as a former student of his at Yayasan Anda, Basuki Yusof.
"I pray that they will be granted afiyah (overall well-being) and recovery as soon as possible, insyaAllah," he said.
