Talam files update on founder Chan Ah Chye's death

KUALA LUMPUR: Talam Transform Bhd ( formerly Talam Corp Bhd) filed an update with Bursa Malaysia stating that its founder, Tan Sri Chan Ah Chye has died.

The filing was updated in Bursa Malaysia today with no further details.

Chan was 78.

Previously Talam's executive chairman, Chan became a non-independent, non-executive director in 2009.

According to Talam Transforms's official page, Chan, who graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Malaya in 1970 was a member of the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia since 1974 before becoming a Fellow in 1984.

He started his career with Messrs Binnie & Partners (M) Sdn Bhd and later joined Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Selangor in 1971 as a Project Manager handling project designs, management and property development.
