KUANTAN: The Fire and Rescue Department has concluded on-site investigations into the fire at the indoor theme park at SkyAvenue, Genting Highlands, in Bentong on June 14.
Pahang Fire and Rescue Department director Datuk Dr Wan Mohammad Zaidi Wan Isa said the investigation team was in the midst of putting information or findings gathered at the fire scene together.
"Investigation at the fire scene has been completed and the next phase is to put together the findings to identify the cause of the fire. The department might need a few days to scrutinise the information," he said briefly when contacted today.

Meanwhile, a department spokesman said the fire on the second, third and fourth floors of the theme park building had engulfed the cladding panels used on the exterior.
"The cladding, made of fibre materials on the building's exterior wall, was 50 per cent destroyed. The thick black plumes of smoke seen in the fire were the result of the material burning," he said.
