KUALA LUMPUR: Former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob and Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Johari Abdul were among the invited guests of the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, at a luncheon held at his palace in Mina.
Ismail Sabri, who is also Bera member of parliament, described the invitation as a symbol of the strong relations between Malaysia and Saudi Arabia.
"Yesterday, I received an invitation to have lunch with the Crown Prince, who is also the Saudi Arabian Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Salman, at his palace in Mina.
"The invitation was extended to leaders from various countries who are performing the Haj pilgrimage.
"From Malaysia, Dewan Rakyat Speaker and I were invited to attend. Thank you to Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman for this invitation," Ismail Sabri said in a post on Facebook today.
