PUTRAJAYA: Private hospitals will now be able to renew their licences in just three months using a new online system, says the health minister.
Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad said today the myBRP@CKAPS system, which was developed in-house, would replace manual procedures.
"If previously (with the manual system), it took eight months to process the issuance (of licences), I have received a commitment from the Private Medical Practice Control Section team to reduce this to just three months.
"This will result in significant savings for industry players," he told a press conference after launching the system, here.
He said 120 private healthcare facilities would be involved in the initial phase.
"The gradual rollout of the system will continue, with applicants notified in phases as other modules are developed.
"The system's development over four phases is expected to be completed by 2027. Future phases will include digital signatures, a mobile application for status checks and online payment options."
Dzulkefly said the licence renewal module would be accessible from July 1.
"The initial phase targets private healthcare facilities whose licences expire between Jan 1 and March 1, 2025."
