Batik Air announces temporary suspension of flights to and from Auckland via Perth

KUALA LUMPUR: Batik Air has announced the temporary suspension of its services to and from Auckland, New Zealand via Perth, Australia, effective July 19.

In a statement, the company said the decision arose due to 'operational requirements'.

Batik Air Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Chandran Rama Muthy, said the airline regretted any inconvenience caused.

"Batik Air will however be reinstating the operations to Auckland (AKL) with direct flights from Kuala Lumpur (KUL) in December 2024,

subject to regulatory approvals," the statement said.

Batik Air said it remained committed to serving the New Zealand market.

"New Zealand represents a key market for Batik Air."

Passengers holding reservations for flights to and from Auckland affected by the temporary

suspension are advised to submit their tickets for a full refund.
