BATU PAHAT: Berlian Jumaat has one wish close to her heart before undergoing her breast cancer surgery this Thursday - that is for her nephew, who is among the five fishermen involved in the Tanjung Segenting boat tragedy, will be found.
The 64-year-old is the aunt of Raub Darus@Hamid, who is among the fishermen involved in the capsized boat tragedy and is still missing.
"I want to see his face for the last time," said a grief-stricken Berlian when met at her house in Kampung Bumiputera Dalam, Rengit, today.
Berlian, who have been taking care of Raub after his parents died a few years ago, said she has come to terms with the fact that his nephew is gone but wanted him to be found.
"I am not expecting anything. I just want him to be found as soon as possible. If he is gone, we accept it as Allah's will," she said, adding that she will be undergoing her surgery at the Sultanah Nora Ismail Hospital.
Berlian said the last time she saw Raub was few days before the latter went out to the sea with four other fishermen involved in the tragedy.
"During that visit, he told me he was going to sea that night (Friday). I just nodded and advised him to be careful."
In the 6am incident, the boat carrying five fishermen including Raub reportedly sank after being hit by waves about 6.8 nautical miles off the coast of Tanjung Segenting.
Only Tan Siak Bin survived the incident after he was found by other fishermen who happened to be passing by the location of the tragedy.
Two victims have been confirmed dead so far, including the skipper, Chiah Kah Chong, 53, who was found by fishermen at 7pm yesterday, while another victim was found at 11.30am today.
