ALOR STAR: Sultan of Kedah, Al Aminul Karim Sultan Sallehuddin Sultan Badlishah, today inspected a guard of honour ahead of his 82nd birthday celebration tomorrow.
His Royal Highness, who was accompanied by Sultanah of Kedah, Sultanah Maliha Tengku Ariff, received a 21-gun salute at Dataran Medan Bandar.
Sultan Sallehuddin then proceeded to receive and inspect the royal salute by the Main Guard of Honour comprising three officers and 103 soldiers from the 6th Batallion of the Royal Malay Regiment led by Major Muhammad Afiq Ismail.
The ceremony was accompanied by the Royal Malay Regiment's band, led by Captain Muhamad Fauzee Japar.
