Large crowds on second day of Karnival Jome Heboh in Melaka

MELAKA: The Karnival Jom Heboh (KJH) 2024 here continues to draw large crowds on its second day despite the hot weather at the Melaka International Trade Centre (MITC).

Among the highlights was when actors and crew from the film Saka Perawan, including Afieq Shazwan, Dr Ahmad Idham and comedian Yassin Senario met with visitors during the film's preview.

Their antics delighted visitors, with the celebrities hosting games on the main stag ewith visitors including families with adults, senior citizens and children.

Yassin expressed his excitement about meeting thousands of Melaka folks, describing the experience as extraordinary.

"I see their response is beyond usual and very impressive. I have joined KJH two or three times before, but in Melaka, it is truly extraordinary.

"Anyway, the movie Saka Perawan is sure to entertain. Don't miss the chance to enjoy it in theaters. What is certain is that KJH provides a great platform for people to receive various interesting information," he said.

Melaka is the third location in the KJH 2024 tour, held in conjunction with TV3's 40th anniversary, offering exciting prizes for the public through booths from Studio Tonton Drama Sangat (TV3, TV9, Tonton), Studio Jom Heboh, New Straits Times Press (New Straits Times, Berita Harian, Harian Metro), Vocket, Hot FM, and Kool 101.

These booths at KJH 2024 have attracted more than 200,000 visitors at each location.

Various booths and activities are specially designed for visitors, including the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) booth which received an overwhelming response.

Melaka EPF branch chief Mohd Kamil Abu Bakar said visitors took the opportunity to get the latest information on various schemes, and also checked their savings and contributions information.

Kamil said the hottest topic was the i-Saraan scheme incentives, along with 15 services or transactions provided by the agency.

He said visitors, including students and housewives aged between 14 and 60, registered for i-Saraan to enjoy attractive benefits, including special incentives of up to RM 500, death benefits, annual dividends, and tax relief of up to RM 300.

Another booth which wowed visitors was Studio Tonton Drama Sangat, which organised the 'Ratu Kebaya Drama Sangat' Competition.

The competition was open to children aged 7 and above and aims to promote the art of the kebaya, which is synonymous with the Peranakan community, including the Baba and Nyonya, Chetti, and Portuguese in the state, regardless of age.

Additionally, Dinoland @ NSTP allows visitors to explore the world of these prehistoric beings and witness various types of dinosaurs come 'alive.'

Visitors have a chance to immerse themselves in settings depicting the prehistoric times and take pictures with various life-like mechanical dinosaurs models.

In addition to providing entertainment, TV3 is committed to raising awareness about the humanitarian crisis and atrocities affecting the people of Palestine.
