Lamborghini driver burns to death in Bentong car crash fire

BENTONG: A luxury sports car driver was burnt to death after his Lamborghini caught fire in a crash at Km57.1 of the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Highway near here today (June 30).

Pahang Fire and Rescue Department deputy director (operations) Ismail Abdul Ghani said the male driver died on the spot, while the front-seat female passenger was helped out of the burning vehicle by members of the public in the 9am incident.

"The Bentong Fire and Rescue Department was alerted at 9.06am and firemen reached the spot 25 minutes later. The car was destroyed and the driver was pinned to his seat.

"The female passenger was taken to hospital by motorists, while firemen removed the driver's remains and handed them to the police."
