SHAH ALAM: The comedian and his wife, detained over the spread of internal information related to the Shah Alam police headquarters on the Telegram application, will be released on police bail.
Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said this as the remand order on the couple expires today.
"The couple will be given police bail and the investigation will continue.
"A disciplinary investigation will be conducted into his police officer wife," he said when contacted by 'Harian Metro' today.
Yesterday, it was reported that the comedian and his wife were remanded for two days to help the probe into the case.
Their mobile phones were confiscated.
Sources said the comedian, 38, and his wife, 37, were arrested at the Section 9 police station yesterday.
A message had circulated on Telegram about the Shah Alam police headquarters recently.
Images of Bukit Aman Logistic and Technology Department director Datuk Sahabudin Abd Manan's visit to the station were also circulated.
