RANTAU PANJANG: A man died after the high-powered motorcycle he was riding crashed onto the road shoulder in an incident in Kampung Rahmat, yesterday.
Pasir Mas police chief Assistant Commissioner Kama Azural Mohamed, said the incident occured at about 9.20am yesterday.
The victim was riding a high-powered motorcycle from the direction of Tanah Merah to Rantau Panjang.
He said initial investigations found that the accident is believed to have occurred when the victim lost control while going through a bend before crashing onto the road shoulder.
"The victim was confirmed dead at the scene and taken to the Forensic Unit of the Pasir Mas Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
The case is being investigated under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987," he said in a statement.
