Nur Farah Kartini's body expected to be buried in Miri

SUNGAI BULOH: The body of Nur Farah Kartini Abdullah is expected to be buried at her hometown in Kampung Lereng Bukit, Miri Sarawak, once the post-mortem examination is completed.

The victim's elder brother Mohd Farriza Azmi Abdullah told reporters on Tuesday that they would only make a final decision once their mother arrives.

"Our mother is flying over from Miri tonight," he said when met outside the Sungai Buloh Hospital Forensic Department earlier today.

Meanwhile Nor Amidah Mohd Ali, 36, the victims former sister-in-law, said they last met on June 5.

"She had told me she misplaced her purse and could not find it.

"Nur Farah Kartini was the youngest and only girl of seven siblings. She was a kind and responsible person," she said.

She added that after Nur Farah Kartini completed her studies at Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), she wanted to find a job to support her mother and grandmother.

"I was shocked when I heard the news and could not believe that she was murdered," she said.
