SUNGAI BULOH: Representatives from the Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) have pledged to help with funeral arrangements for murdered Nur Farah Kartini Abdullah.
Four men from the university arrived at the Sungai Buloh Hospital Forensic Department at around 12.30pm where the body awaits postmortem.
One of the individuals, who declined to be named, told reporters that the university management was ready to help with the costs of funeral arrangements.
"The university will take care of all the costs. We just await a decision from the family on where the body will be laid to rest.
"For now we cannot say anything else out of respect for the family. We will leave it to them to release any further information," he said when met outside the Forensic Department.
Meanwhile, in a post on its official Instagram account, the university offered condolences to the family of the victim.
The post was uploaded with a picture of Nur Farah Kartini and a caption "Condolences to all the family members of Nur Farah Kartini Abdullah. May her soul be blessed and placed among those who have faith".
Nur Farah Kartini was an UPSI alumni who graduated in December last year.
