PN MPs meet ex-Singapore PM Lee Hsien Loong [WATCH]

KUALA LUMPUR: Perikatan Nasional members of Parliament met a Singaporean delegation led by former prime minister Lee Hsien Loong who is on an official working visit.

In a Facebook post, opposition leader Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin said the PN MPs discussed various matters with Lee and his delegation, particularly measures to strengthen Malaysia-Singapore bilateral ties.

"We also deliberated on regional and international geopolitical issues that significantly impact both countries."

Hamzah said Lee, now a Senior Minister, also expressed interest in the PN MPs' views on domestic matters including tax policies, cost of living issues and the anti-hopping law.

"This meeting was highly meaningful in the context of bilateral relations between the two countries."

Others at the meeting included Lee's wife, Ho Ching, Senior Ministers of State Zaqy Mohamad (Defence and Manpower) and Low Yen Ling (Culture, Community and Youth and Trade and Industry).

Lee's official visit began on July 19 and ends today. During his visit, Lee also attended the installation of Sultan Ibrahim as the 17th King of Malaysia.
