KUALA LUMPUR: The National Registration Department (NRD) has reopened the application for MyKid from July 29 to Oct 31 this year.
NRD, in a statement, said applications for MyKid were temporarily suspended due to a shortage of chip supplies for the raw cards.
"Those who have applied (with a MyKid application receipt) but have had their printing deferred, may verify their print status on the department's official portal at www.jpn.gov.my before collecting the document at the selected NRD office."
NRD said the verification period was for three months, after which pending MyKid applications would be cancelled, requiring applicants to reapply.
It said applicants must ensure that the printed MyKid cards were collected promptly to avoid costs and inconvenience to the government.
