LANGKAWI: A 15-year-old boy, Muhammad Izzham Hakimie Azizi, drowned while attempting to save his younger sister from the waters off Pantai Chenang on Saturday.
His body was retrieved yesterday morning some 150 metres from where he was last seen.
Langkawi police chief, Assistant Commissioner Shariman Ashari said there were no injuries on Izzham's body, which has been sent to Hospital Sultanah Maliha for post-mortem.
It was previously reported that a teenager was feared drowned while trying to save his 14-year-old sister.
The police received an emergency call on the incident at 3.05pm prompting a search and rescue mission.
