KOTA BARU: Kelantan Barisan Nasional chairman Datuk Ahmad Jazlan Yaakub has denied that he issued a directive to PKR members from wearing Pakatan Harapan's t-shirt while campaigning in Nenggiri.
In a Facebook post today, Jazlan said the 'message' which has been widely circulated on the social media since yesterday, was untrue.
"I am aware about the message that had gone viral saying that l have banned PKR members from wearing the PH t-shirt while campaigning in Nenggiri.
"The message also stated that l have ordered them to only wear Umno, BN and other t-shirts during the campaign activities.
"I would like to deny this and l believe it is a conspiracy and bad accusation from the rival party to tarnish my image," he said.
Despite this, Jazlan who is also the BN operations director for the Nenggiri by-election said he would continue to carry out the responsibility given to him by the party.
"All of the party's machinery in the unity government are in high spirits and remain focused on winning the Nenggiri by-election," he added.
