KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim expressed his condolences to the family of Mahkota assemblyman Datuk Sharifah Azizah Syed Zain.
"May her family find strength and perseverance during this difficult time, may her sins be forgiven and may she be granted the best place by His side," he posted on X today.
Earlier, Johor State Legislative Assembly Speaker Datuk Dr Puad Zarkashi announced Sharifah's passing on Facebook.
Sharifah had been hospitalised at Enche' Besar Hajjah Khalsom Hospital in Kluang, Johor, for internal bleeding.
She was 63.
