Words of support pour in for Shah after keirin final incident

KUALA LUMPUR: Netizens expressed sympathy on social media towards Muhammad Shah Firdaus Sahrom after he suffered a heavy crash in the men's keirin final at the Paris Olympics today.

The incident, which occurred during a crucial race, has prompted a flood of sympathy and support on social media.

Twitter users have been vocal in their support for Shah.

"Shah was knocked down just as he was about to secure a bronze medal," commented @naimbinzaini

"Well done!! If it weren't for the fall, he would've clinched the bronze perhaps!" commented Melanie Anthony.

Earlier, Shah suffered a heavy crash in the men's keirin final at the Paris Olympics today.

Shah, Great Britain's Jack Carlin and Japan's Shinji Nakano were involved in the final lap crash at the Saint Quentin en Yvelines Velodrome.
