Sabah has programmes to produce quality, skilled youngsters

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah will continue implementing various programmes to enhance the economic well-being of its youth.

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor said these empowerment programmes would include training and skill courses that could produce quality, skilled, and first-class-minded youngsters.

"It is important that we provide them with appropriate platforms to grow and contribute. With the right support, youth can play a significant role in the state's economic, social, and cultural development.

"All parties, including the government, private sector, and society, need to join forces to create opportunities and provide the necessary support for the youth," he said at the Sabah State Level National Youth Consultative Council Conference at a hotel here.

His speech was read by the State Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Ellron Angin.

Hajiji also hoped that more issues related to the interests and needs of Sabah's youth would be addressed at the conference to be brought forward to the National Youth Consultative Council.
