KUALA LUMPUR: A motorist had a close brush after his vehicle caught fire along the Mid Valley road, approaching KL Eco City, this morning.
Pantai Dalam Fire and Rescue Station operations commander Wan Mohd Shahrir Azizi Wan Said said the Perodua Aruz was 80 per cent burnt.
"The Kuala Lumpur Operations Centre received an emergency call regarding a fire at 7.48am and dispatched a team to the scene.
"The fire was fully extinguished at 8.19 am. The driver managed to get out of the vehicle before the flames spread. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the forensic unit," he said in a statement.
