KUALA KANGSAR: Two people were killed and a child injured in an accident involving two vehicles on Jalan Kuala Kangsar - Manong today.
Perak Fire and Rescue Department assistant director of operations Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said the 7am accident involved a car and a multi-purpose vehicle.
Sabarodzi said they were alerted to the incident at 7.36am and the deceased as well as the injured victim were traveling in the car.
"A female driver and a girl seated in the front passenger seat were killed instantly and their bodies were pinned to their seats.
"The second child, who was seated in the back, suffered minor injuries, while the driver of the MPV escaped unhurt," he said.
Sabarodzi added that the deceased and the injured victim were taken to Kuala Kangsar Hospital.
"The operation ended at 9.10am," he said.
