SANDAKAN: A girl and a man were killed while three others were injured after in accident involving a lorry and a Perodua Axia in Jalan Gum-Gum this morning.
Details of the accident are still unavailable.
Sandakan Fire and Rescue Station chief, Severinus@Mohd Nidzam Sainkui said they were alerted to the accident at 9.09am.
"Three victims were extracted by passers-by before we arrived. Another two victims were trapped in the car," he said.
The two, a man and a girl, were later extricated from the wreck. They were pronounced dead at the scene by a medical officer.
The three other victims who were injured, two girls and a man, have been sent to hospital.
