'The late Nuraina Humaira was dedicated to studying the Quran'

SUNGAI SIPUT: The late Nuraina Humaira Rosli was dedicated in studying the Quran.

The 10-year-old child was a person with disability and lived with a hearing impairment and speech difficulties. However, this never got in the way of her determination to deepen her knowledge of the Quran.

Perak deputy mufti Datuk Zamri Hashim said Nuraina had attended the 'Al Husna' Quran recital classes by Yayasan Ikhlas in its Perak branch held at the girl's village.

"The late Nuraina Humaira Rosli, 10 , was very dedicated to her Quran studies in the 'Kelas Mengaji al Husna',conducted by Yayasan Ikhlas Perak in Kampung Bersah Kuala Mu, Sungai Siput.

"May Allah forgive her sins. Her parents were truly steadfast in accepting Allah's will.

"The surrounding community has also been very cooperative and caring in helping to ease the family's burden," said Zamri, who is an ambassador for Yayasan Husna, in a posting on Facebook.

The posting included pictures of Zamri's visit to meet Nuraina's father Rosli Mahadi, 48, and mother Khatijah Angah, 31.

One of the photos shows Zamri handing over an envelope believed to be a donation to Rosli.

The girl's body was found on Aug 18 in a swampy area in Kampung Bersah, Pos Kuala Mu, after being reported missing overnight.

A 17-year-old teenager has been remanded for seven days to facilitate police investigations.
