KUALA LUMPUR: Flash floods at the Kuala Lumpur World Trade Centre's open space car park have alarmed delegates attending the Umno General Assembly today.
Heavy downpours caused the water level at the nearby Klang-Gombak River to burst into the parking space, submerging several vehicles at the premises.
Delegates were seen rushing to their vehicles after an announcement and warning sirens were activated to inform them of the rising waters.
"Water levels at the river have surpassed the dangerous level. To those who parked in the open-air parking space, please move your vehicle immediately," the announcement said.
