2,000 watch live broadcast of royal wedding of Sultan Pahang's daughter [WATCH]

KUANTAN: Approximately 2,000 people gathered at Dataran Majlis Bandaraya Kuantan (MBK) Satu and Tasik Kotasas to witness the wedding ceremony of the daughter of the Sultan of Pahang, Tengku Puteri Raja Tengku Puteri Afzan Aminah Hafidzatullah, and her partner, FD Idzham FD Iskandar.

According to RTM, the royal wedding, held at Istana Abdul Aziz, was broadcast live on large screens at the two locations for the public to view.

Despite the rain, the crowd began to assemble as early as 6.30pm to ensure they did not miss the royal ceremony.

Tengku Puteri Raja Tengku Puteri Afzan Aminah Hafidzatullah and FD Idzham FD Iskandar were married by the Mufti of Pahang, Prof Dato' Dr Asmadi Mohamed Naim, at Balai Mahkota Istana Abdul Aziz.

Following the wedding ceremony, Sultan Pahang Al Sultan Abdullah Riayatuddin Al Mustafa Billah Shah, Tengku Ampuan Pahang Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, and Tengku Mahkota Pahang Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah performed the traditional sprinkling of petals on the newlyweds.

Also present at the ceremony were the children of the Sultan of Pahang, members of the Pahang royal family, and Pahang Chief Minister Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail and his wife.

The wedding celebrations will continue tomorrow with the Berinai Ceremony, followed by the Persandingan Ceremony on Sunday.

All events will be broadcast live on the large screens set up at Dataran Majlis Bandaraya Kuantan (MBK) Satu and Tasik Kotasas.
