KUALA LUMPUR: There will be lane closures along a segment of the Shah Alam Expressway starting today to facilitate expansion work.
KESAS Sdn Bhd said construction was being done for the addition of a new lane on the Shah Alam Expressway (SAE) from Km 33.6 to Km 35 eastbound, between the Hicom Interchange and the Hicom lay by.
It said the construction will necessitate temporary lane closures and diversions daily from 11pm to 5.30am, beginning today. The work is expected to be completed by the end of next month.
"Motorists are advised to drive safely and follow signage in the affected areas. The upgrading work will expand the expressway from three to four lanes, aiming to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion," it said.
KESAS Sdn Bhd apologised for any inconvenience caused by these temporary closures and appreciates motorists' patience and support during this period.
