KUALA LUMPUR: The three teenagers who drowned in a boat capsize in Sungai Batang Kayan, Lundu, Sarawak, on Tuesday were buried at the Selampit cemetery today (Friday).
Members of the local community, teachers and schoolmates started gathering at the cemetery near St Gregory's Church in Kampung Selampit, Lundu, at 10am as the remains of the young victims were taken there after their funerals.
The victims were identified as Vilkie Wilson, 15, Helena Fasha Petrus, 17, and the youngest, Alasma Jitwil, 14.
All three were crossing the river on their way to school when the tragedy occurred.
