KUALA LUMPUR: The sinkhole on Jalan Masjid India that caused a woman to fall and go missing today is not the first incident, as it was reported to have occurred at the same location last year.
This was confirmed by Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa. However, the incident last year did not result in any casualties.
"I have been informed that this place had experienced a similar collapse before, very close to today's incident, but it has since been repaired.
"For today's incident, we have CCTV footage clearly showing how the victim fell into the sinkhole, and it only involved one victim," he said at a press conference at the scene today.
