KUALA LUMPUR: A Hindu association held a prayer at Jalan Masjid India to aid in finding the sinkhole victim, who remains missing on this sixth day of the search.
The association, Hindu Sanggam and Hindu Darma Mamandram, led by Vanija Dewarajoo said they performed a prayer called Sivapuranam.
"We hope she will be found as the Search and Rescue (SAR) team works tirelessly to locate her and ensure her safety.
"We sang the 'Sivapuranam' hymn in Tamil, as this song is specifically meant to pray for missing persons.
"This is one way for us to help so that the victim are found quickly," she said.
She said the association had previously held religious ceremonies for crises like Covid-19, not only in Malaysia but around the world.
"I hope everyone will pray for the victim at home, as her entire family is anxiously awaiting her return."
