KUALA LUMPUR: The government has reduced the retail price of diesel by 5 sen to RM3.18 from RM3.23 per litre.
The price of RON97 has also been reduced by 5 sen to RM3.42 per litre from RM3.47 per litre.
The price of RON95 remains at RM2.05 per litre, while diesel in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan will remain at RM2.15 per litre from Aug 29 to Sept 4.
The Finance Ministry said the reduction of the diesel and RON97 prices is due to the recent decline in global crude oil prices.
"The government will continue to monitor the trends of global crude oil prices and take
appropriate measures to ensure the continued welfare and well-being of the people."
