ALOR SETAR: Senior Assistant Commissioner Datuk Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal has been appointed as the Kedah Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department director with immediate effect today.
He replaces Assistant Commissioner S Markandan who was acting in the position.
Witnessed by the Kedah police chief Datuk Fisol Salleh, the handing-over of duties ceremony was held at the state police headquarters here today.
Nik Ezanee was previously the deputy director of Bukit Aman Special Branch's Counter-Terrorism Division (E8)
Meanwhile, in his speech, Fisol also reminded Kedah police to work with greater integrity when carrying out their duties and responsibilities.
Fisol also hopes that all parties, regardless of which department they belong to, will pool their efforts to resolve any cases that arise, in order to restore public confidence and boost the image of the Kedah police force.
