KUANTAN: The one-day session of the 15th Pahang state legislative assembly sitting tomorrow (Sept 5) will be streamed live on Facebook.
State assembly speaker Datuk Seri Mohd Sharkar Shamsudin said the entire session would be broadcast live for the first time on social media.
"As promised, the state assembly sitting tomorrow will be streamed live on Facebook. The session includes the swearing-in of five newly-appointed assemblymen, question-and-answer session and tabling of the bills.
"The session will be broadcast through an official Facebook page and viewers can share the live stream. The upcoming sittings, including the tabling of the Pahang budget at the end of this year, will also be aired live," he said when contacted today.
The last state assembly sitting in May was supposed to have been aired live but plans were halted following taunts from the opposition.
Several days before the last sitting, Pahang Pas Youth information chief Ahmad Azlan Abu Bakar had then dared Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail to be an "anak jantan" (man enough) and broadcast the sitting while opposition leader Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man described live streaming as normal saying that even those catching fish also go live.
