Ampang Jaya police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Azam Ismail said the initial incident occurred around 2.30am on Sept 3 along Jalan Teratai, Taman Bukit Teratai, Ampang, Selangor.

"Our personnel on patrol received information of an alleged cable theft incident and went to the scene to investigate.
