Developer says Taman Mas township safe, unaffected by Puchong landslide

KUALA LUMPUR: Masteron Group's Taman Mas township development remains unaffected by the recent landslide at the Sungai Rasau water treatment plant (WTP) in Puchong.

In a statement today, the developer confirmed that their project site, located 2.75 km from the landslide, continues on schedule without disruption.

"We want to assure the public that our Taman Mas projects are entirely unaffected by the construction halt at the Sungai Rasau Water Supply Scheme (Stage 1) project," the group said.

It added that the landslide, which caused water flooding at the Sungai Rasau site, has led to a temporary suspension of work there, but the incident is fully contained.

Masteron's developments in Taman Mas, including KR7, Koi Prima, D'Aman Residences, Calisa N & M, and Koi Suites, remain safe and on track, it said.

Masteron added that their 145-acre township is far enough from the affected area, with geographic data confirming no risk to their projects.

On Sept 7, the landslide occurred near the Idaman BSP area in Puchong, prompting authorities to pause work for safety assessments and enhanced protocols.
